We distributed 50 wheelchairs to disabled people in Dege in 2002.

In 2001 we funded a conservation assessment of the Dege Printing House.

We have promoted Dege's trekking and tourism opportunities to readers of our travel page, helping the county build its tourism sector.

Our Bike Ride for Tibetan Health, which finishes here, has raised money for medical equipment donated to the clinics in Manigango and Keluotong.

In 1999 we gave a grant to the Athri Village School to hire a new teacher.

Our Books for Schools program has provided free Tibetan language books to six primary schools in the county.

In 1998, in partnership with the China Exploration and Research Society, we completed conservation of the murals at Pewar/Baiya Monastery.
