This town is the headquarters of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and the location of our field office. We conduct many, many activities here.

Our volunteer English Teacher Program is based at two local middle schools.   With the help of our volunteers, children at Kangding Middle School created Kangdingweb.

In 2003 we planted 10,000 trees near Dorje Monastery.

We have distributed science books to several schools in Kangding town and other communities in the county.

Our Midwife Training is conducted at the Maternal and Child Health Care Center in Kangding.

In 2000 we donated wheelchairs to disabled people here.

In 1999 we ran a thanka conservation training program at the Sichuan Tibetan School.

We're sponsoring the middle school studies of one orphan girl in town.
